Hey there!

(Not bad for a self portrait, eh?)

My name is Joel Bennett. I’m currently working as a Product Developer (aka Programmer) for a small company doing business software. I enjoy playing around with programming and Game Development in my spare time. I also enjoy playing the occassional video game, (My Xbox Live GamerTag is JoelBennett), cooking crazy things in the kitchen, and riding my mountain bike. I recently completed a Bachelor of Computer Science at the University of Lethbridge (October 2008). I also completed my Computer Systems Technology diploma at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in August of 2006.

I have been playing around with programming and game development more or less since 1999 (less two years – 2002 to 2004 – I served a full time mission for my church during that time, and didn’t really touch a computer for that time). I have made a few small contest entries sponsored by GameDev.net, as well as a handy to-do list program, which you can find on my Projects page.
